§ 42-6. Referral of matters to Committee.

The Traffic Advisory Committee will serve as an advisory and planning committee in matters relating to traffic control and safety. All matters previously handled by the Common Council Traffic Control and Safety Committee must be first referred to the Traffic Advisory Committee for its report and recommendation. No matter relating to traffic control and safety shall be acted upon by the Common Council without first having been considered by the Traffic Advisory Committee, unless emergency conditions should require immediate Council action, at which time the Common Council may by a two-thirds vote agree to act without reference to the Traffic Advisory Committee.
