§ 42-5. Powers and duties.

It shall be the duty of the Traffic Advisory Committee, and to this end it shall have the authority within funds at its disposal, to:

A.
Coordinate traffic activities.

B.
Carry on educational activities in traffic matters.

C.
Supervise the preparation and publication of traffic reports.

D.
Receive complaints having to do with traffic and safety matters.

E.
Review or initiate proposals for the installation, changing or removal of traffic control devices and establishment of traffic control measures.

F.
Recommend to the Common Council of this City and to the Chief of Police and other City officials ways and means of improving traffic and safety conditions and the administration and enforcement of traffic regulations.

G.
The Traffic Advisory Committee shall have the authority to amend Chapter 183, Vehicles and Traffic, by a vote of a majority of said Committee.
