§ 60-4. Issuance of license.

  • A. 
    The Chief of Police, upon receiving a proper application therefor, is authorized to issue a properly numbered license plate or sticker. The license, when issued, shall entitle the licensee to operate such bicycle for which said license has been issued in the City of Lockport.
    B. 
    The license shall be made of metal, plastic or other substance, bearing the number assigned to the bicycle and the name of the City, and be of such color, style and dimensions as may be prescribed by said Chief of Police.
    C. 
    The Chief of Police shall not issue a license for any bicycle when he knows or has reasonable ground to believe that the applicant is not the owner of and entitled to the possession of such bicycle.
    D. 
    The Chief of Police shall keep a record of the number of each license, the date issued, the name of the person to whom issued and the number on the frame of the bicycle for which issued, and a record of all bicycle license fees collected by him.
