§ 190-49. Prohibited uses.

  • In addition to salvage yards, coal yards and junkyards, the following uses and those uses listed under the industrial districts section are specifically prohibited in the B-3 District:
    Alcohol manufacture
    Ammonia, bleaching powder or chlorine manufacture
    Auto wrecking
    Bag cleaning
    Blast furnace
    Boiler works
    Bottled gas storage
    Brick, tile or terra-cotta manufacture
    Candle manufacture
    Celluloid manufacture
    Dyestuff manufacture
    Extermination and insect poison manufacture
    Emery cloth and sandpaper manufacture
    Iron, steel, brass or copper foundry or fabrication plant
    Lamp black manufacture
    Match manufacture
    Oilcloth or linoleum manufacture
    Paint, oil, shellac, turpentine or varnish manufacture
    Paper and pulp manufacture
    Planing mill, except a small woodworking plant
    Potash works
    Pyroxilin manufacture
    Rolling mill
    Sauerkraut manufacture
    Shoe polish manufacture
    Stock feeding pen
    Soap manufacture
    Soda and compound manufacture
    Stone crusher quarry
    Stove polish manufacture
    Tallow, grease or lard manufacture or refining from animal fat
    Tar roofing or waterproofing manufacture
    Vinegar manufacture
    Yeast production
    Any other trade or use that is noxious or offensive by reason of the emission of odor, dust, smoke, gas or noise
